Patras: 25-Year-Old to Apologize on Monday for Arson at Nursing Home

The 25-year-old accused of arson in a forest area near the Nursing Home of Patras is expected to apologize on Monday.

The 25-year-old was arrested on Wednesday near the Nursing Home, while the fire in Sychaina was in progress. Witnesses reportedly saw him setting fire near the Konstantopouleio Nursing Home, which was evacuated as a precaution.

Following the criminal prosecution, the accused was referred to the Patras investigator, from whom he received a deadline to apologize.

Police arrested the 25-year-old after being informed by residents, as strong forces were already in the area due to the large fire.
