Squid Game's O Yeong-su Acquitted of Sexual Misconduct

Actor O Yeong-su, known for his role in the series Squid Game, has been acquitted of sexual misconduct charges by a court in South Korea. The charges related to an incident that allegedly occurred in 2017.

Initially, the 81-year-old actor had been sentenced to a suspended prison term but appealed the decision. The court overturned the ruling, citing potential memory alteration of the alleged victim due to the passage of time.

Despite his acquittal, it was reported that Yeong-su had apologized to the victim, while the alleged victim expressed disagreement with the decision.

Yeong-su gained international recognition for his role in Squid Game, winning a Golden Globe in 2022.
