Megara: 21-Year-Old Arrested in Robbery Case Involving 72-Year-Old Victim

A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with the violent robbery of a 72-year-old man in Megara in June 2025. The elderly man was hospitalized and later died.

The arrest was made by the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime. The 21-year-old is accused of robbery with extreme violence, attempted manslaughter, and violation of weapons laws. According to police, the perpetrator broke into the victim's home, physically assaulted him, and stole approximately 5,000 euros.

The 72-year-old was hospitalized for 51 days and died shortly after being discharged. The 21-year-old has a prior record of thefts and robberies.
