Malia: 27-Year-Old Jailed for Fatal Traffic Accident

A 27-year-old Egyptian man has been remanded in custody for causing a fatal traffic accident in Malia, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old woman. Relatives of the woman attempted to attack him in court.
The 27-year-old testified before the investigator, claiming he lost control of the vehicle due to a tire problem. He also denied speeding.
According to cretapost, the collision occurred when the 27-year-old, under unclear circumstances, collided with the motorcycle driven by the 23-year-old Maria. The collision was severe, resulting in the woman's immediate death, despite wearing a helmet.
Tension prevailed outside the Heraklion courthouse when relatives of the 23-year-old attempted to attack the 27-year-old. Police prevented the attack.
The accident happened on Thursday, September 11, when the vehicle driven by the 27-year-old collided with the 23-year-old's motorcycle in the Stalida-Malia area.
