Larissa: Father Lambros Dies After Daughter's Murder

Father Lambros Rinis passed away in Larissa, Greece, having experienced personal tragedies. The priest was the father of the 52-year-old woman who was murdered by her son in May. He had also lost another daughter three years ago to a stroke.

The funeral of Father Lambros will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus in the New Cemetery of Larissa.

Father Lambros became known in 1997 when he revealed a financial scandal at the pilgrimage site of Agia Paraskevi in Tempi. Through a hidden camera, he recorded members of the committee removing money from the offering box, totaling 45 million drachmas. The case involved an employee of OSE, a retired officer, and two priests.
