Larissa: New Revelations about Roma Gang and Gold Sovereigns

New revelations are emerging regarding the activities of a Roma gang in Larissa, accused of fraud involving gold sovereigns. According to protothema.gr, members of the gang allegedly obtained luxury cars worth €70,000 from a dealership without paying.

The dealership owners were reportedly afraid to ask for the vehicles back. Additionally, the gang allegedly swindled a bank employee out of €30,000 by giving them counterfeit €500 bills.

Authorities are investigating reports of electricity theft, illegal constructions, and occupied land. Companies allegedly organizing bazaars and trade fairs are also being examined to determine if they are being used for illegal financial activities.

So far, at least six cases of fraud have been recorded, and police estimate that the number of victims may increase.
