Kolonos: Partner of Pregnant Woman Arrested – Claims Accident

The partner of the 31-year-old pregnant woman found dead in Kolonos has been arrested. The arrest followed an investigation by the Hellenic Police (ELAS) into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.

Her 38-year-old partner claims it was an accident. However, the blows to the woman's head and back suggest something different, according to the initial assessment of the forensic pathologist.

Police are taking statements from the brother and father of the arrested man. The autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine the exact cause of death.

The woman was found unconscious by her partner, who reportedly notified EKAV (National Centre for Emergency Care). Paramedics were unable to revive her. Eyewitnesses reported that the man appeared shocked.

The woman was in the fourth month of her pregnancy.
