Kifissias Avenue: Drunk Driver Crashes into Hellenic Post Office - Video

A shocking traffic accident occurred on Kifissias Avenue when a 21-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Hellenic Post Office (ELTA) branch.

The incident, captured by a security camera, happened shortly after 4:00 AM. The driver, traveling at high speed towards Athens, crashed violently into the glass facade of the branch in the Marousi area, causing extensive material damage. He sustained minor injuries.

According to the police, the driver had exceeded the speed limit and tested positive for alcohol in a breathalyzer test.

The Attica Traffic Police have intensified checks for driving under the influence of alcohol. During the period of October 9-12, 12,236 breathalyzer tests were conducted and 159 violations were confirmed, while seven drivers were arrested with an alcohol concentration above 0.60 mg/l.
