Kavala: Husband of Missing British Woman Speaks Out

The 66-year-old husband of 59-year-old Michele Ann Joy Bourda, who disappeared from Ofrynio beach in Kavala last Friday, spoke for the first time to the Daily Mail.

Chris Bourda described that his wife seemed happy and they went for a short swim. Afterwards, they ordered crepes and he fell asleep. When he woke up, his wife was gone.

Mr. Bourda stated that he searched the area day and night, while emphasizing that his wife suffered from episodes of depression and anxiety. She had disappeared once before in London.

The husband complained that the police in Kavala did not do enough regarding the case, while he is in contact with the British embassy in Athens.

A volunteer team is expected to arrive in the area to assist in the search.
