Patras Carnival: Vandalism and Reactions

The Municipal Enterprise of Patras - Patras Carnival (KEDHP) is resorting to Justice for the acts of vandalism that occurred during the carnival. Young people caused damage, set fire to figures, and vandalized vehicles.

According to pelop.gr, 512 incidents, 22 hospitalizations, and 52 arrests were recorded. The president of KEDHP, Pavlos Skouras, stated that they will take legal action against the vandals.

The former president of the Cultural Organization, Antonis Skiathas, argued that the carnival needs a restart, as the image of the city was disheartening.

A car owner reported an attempted arson of his vehicle.
