Heraklion: Confession in the Murder of a 40-Year-Old in Abandoned Building

Shock in Heraklion after the news of the murder of a 40-year-old man in an abandoned building in the Kaminia area. According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.), the perpetrator confessed to the act.

The victim was found dead on Wednesday afternoon in a makeshift shack, part of an old complex on Machis Kritis Street. The forensic examination showed that the death was caused by knife wounds.

The alleged perpetrator is a 37-year-old, who confessed that after an argument, he attacked the 40-year-old with a knife, causing his fatal injury. According to the police, two other people were present at the incident but abandoned the injured man without offering assistance.

The detainees are expected to be brought before the Prosecutor of First Instance of Heraklion.
