Trikala Prison Incident: Afghan Inmate Attacks Cellmate

A bloody incident occurred in Trikala prison when a 28-year-old Afghan convict attacked a 49-year-old Greek cellmate with a knife.

According to trikalaopinion.gr, the attack happened on Wednesday afternoon. The perpetrator inflicted three stab wounds on the 49-year-old.

Prison officials immediately arrested the 28-year-old. The victim was taken to Trikala General Hospital, where he received first aid and then returned to the prison.

The Trikala Police Department is conducting the preliminary investigation into the incident.
