Tension arose outside the Courthouse of Patras, where angry citizens gathered to protest against those accused of arson. The citizens shouted slogans such as "You burned Patras" and moved threateningly towards them, with the police intervening to prevent further escalation.

The two accused of the fire in Sychaina, a 19-year-old and a 27-year-old, were granted a deadline to testify on Sunday. They are accused of arson on forest and non-forest land repeatedly, continuously, and in complicity. A 25-year-old was also taken to the Courthouse for the fire in the Gerokomeio area.

According to protothema.gr, residents of the Sychaina area had taken pictures of the two young men, with the 19-year-old confessing to his actions. The photos show a bottle, which, according to a witness, the young men threw into a forest area. The bottle has been sent to the ELAS laboratories for analysis.

ELAS announced that the investigation into the fire in Sychaina led to the identification and arrest of the two individuals, aged 27 and 19. A backpack containing a lighter and a mobile phone was found in the possession of the 27-year-old.
