7 Guilty in Illegal OPEKEPE Subsidies Case in Grammos

The Athens Court of Appeal found all seven defendants guilty in the case of illegal subsidies from OPEKEPE in the Grammos area.

The court rejected the argument for the elimination of criminal liability due to the return of funds.

Previously, a defense attorney's claim for the case's archiving by the Larissa Court of First Instance was rejected, with the prosecutor of the court, Kalliopi Dayianta, pointing out the absence of a substantial judicial decision in Larissa.

Currently, defense attorneys are pleading for the recognition of mitigating circumstances for the defendants.
