Emma Kariotaki: Mother's Outburst Over Trial Delays

The mother of Emma Kariotaki has expressed strong indignation at the continuous delays in the judicial investigation of the fatal traffic accident. The case concerns the accident in which 21-year-old Emma was fatally injured.
A hearing had been scheduled for January at the One-Member Misdemeanor Court, with the 23-year-old co-driver accused of harboring a criminal, but the trial was postponed. As it turned out, the court was not competent due to an amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure.
"We've done Thessaloniki-Chania, like Omonia-Syntagma," said Emma's mother, Kelly Kabaki, emphasizing the inconvenience. The family's side is proceeding with a request to repeat the procedure for the co-driver's criminal responsibilities and a lawsuit for perjury.
It is recalled that the driver of the car has already been sentenced to 16.5 years in prison for the fatal traffic accident.
