ELAS Warns of Heating Allowance SMS Scam

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) is warning about a new SMS scam related to the heating allowance. Scammers are sending messages stating that citizens have received the allowance and include a link supposedly leading to the AADE website.

According to ELAS, citizens should be especially careful and not open links in suspicious messages, always check the sender, and not share personal or banking information.

ELAS has warned in the past about similar SMS scams, such as those related to fines for traffic violations.
