Greek Police Raid Roma Camps in Menidi and Liosia – 8 Arrests

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) conducted raids on Roma camps in Menidi and Liosia, in the West Attica region. During the operations, 8 people were arrested.
The raids focused on locating narcotics, weapons (clubs), and electricity theft. MAT forces, OPKE, and specially trained dogs participated in the operation.
In a car wash on Leoforos Phylis, vehicles without license plates were found. The detainees face charges of electricity theft, drug possession, and violation of personal data (due to cameras).
In a previous operation in Acharnes, two people (a 40-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man) were arrested for drug trafficking and violation of weapons laws. Cannabis, clubs, mobile phones, and 2,596 euros were confiscated.
