Gang Dismantled: 36 Burglaries and 2 Robberies, Five Arrests

Police have dismantled a gang involved in burglaries and robberies of homes and businesses in several areas. Five people have been arrested.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the gang had been active since at least October 2025 in Megara, Nea Peramos, Chalkida, Agrinio, Aigialeia, and Tanagra. The members, in groups of four to five, wore hoods and gloves to conceal their identities and were armed in some cases.
The perpetrators used burglary tools to break into doors and windows, stealing jewelry, money, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages. In one instance, they used violence against a 73-year-old woman during a robbery in Agrinio.
During the searches, police confiscated jewelry, watches, seven cars, a replica pistol, a hunting rifle, clothing, burglary tools, and electronic devices.
Thirty-six burglaries and two robberies have been solved, with the gang's illegal financial gain estimated at over 120,000 euros.
The arrested individuals were brought before the Public Prosecutor.
