Police have dismantled a criminal organization that stole, counterfeited, and resold vehicles in Attica. Three individuals, aged 36, 28, and 26, have been arrested, while 20 more individuals are included in the case file.

According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the organization had been operating since at least the end of 2022, stealing vehicles and falsifying their registration details in order to sell them to unsuspecting citizens.

Their method involved purchasing vehicles with extensive damage at low prices and transferring the engraved parts with the chassis number to stolen vehicles of the same make and model.

The investigation uncovered 25 cases of vehicle theft and counterfeiting. During the operation, 12 counterfeit vehicles, 2 stolen engines, 8 mobile phones, an air pistol, and 708 grams of raw cannabis were seized.

The arrested individuals were led to the competent prosecutor's office.
