EFET Recalls Easter Bread Due to Coumarin

EFET (Hellenic Food Authority) announced the recall of Easter bread branded as «Τσουρέκι - THE COOKIE MASTERS», with a best before date of 20/11/25 and a net weight of 480 gr.

The recall was carried out by the Peloponnese Regional Directorate of EFET, as sampling revealed that the product contains coumarin in a concentration exceeding the maximum legal limit.

The product is produced and packaged in Greece by Δ. ΓΟΥΡΓΟΥΛΗΣ Mon. E.P.E. based in Zaharo, Ilia. The 1st Chemical Service of Athens of the General Chemical State Laboratory of A.A.D.E. classified the product as unsafe and harmful to health.

EFET has demanded the immediate recall of the entire batch and calls on consumers who have purchased the product not to consume it.
