Drama: Three Arrests for Scams – Nine Cases Solved

Police in Drama have arrested three individuals for telephone scams. The perpetrators posed as doctors or police officers to extract money and jewelry from citizens.

Specifically, the perpetrators would call citizens posing either as doctors, claiming that their relatives were injured and needed immediate surgery, or as police officers, claiming an imminent arrest of fraudsters and demanding money.

Nine people were convinced and handed over money and jewelry. During the police operation, money, jewelry, and mobile phones were confiscated. The scams took place in recent days in Drama. Police are continuing investigations to identify other accomplices.
