Attica: 11 Dead and 703 Injured in Traffic Accidents in July

In July, 11 people died and 703 were injured in 531 traffic accidents in Attica, according to the Attica Traffic Police Department.

The main causes of the accidents were carelessness, violation of traffic lights, and failure of pedestrians to comply with traffic rules. The non-use of helmets by motorcycle drivers exacerbated injuries.

The Attica Traffic Police confirmed 30,414 violations, including 616 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 2,455 for speeding, and 315 for red light violations.

Additionally, 635 violations were recorded for mobile phone use, 1,282 for non-use of seat belts, and 2,925 for non-use of helmets.
