Police Officers Involved in Drug Ring: Revealing Conversations

A drug ring involving police officers has been dismantled by the Internal Affairs Service of the Hellenic Police (ELAS). According to the investigation, the leader of the organization was a warrant officer who, in collaboration with three other police officers and civilians, was trading drugs.
The conversations between those involved are revealing, exposing their modus operandi. In one of them, the warrant officer speaks with an associate about the sale of 5 kilos of drugs, stating: "I want 10,000 to get 5 kilos out of it."
A lieutenant, who previously served in the Drug Enforcement Unit and is now suspended, allegedly seized drugs from confiscated items and channeled them into the market. In one instance, after a police operation, the lieutenant allegedly placed bags of raw hydroponic cannabis in the official vehicle and met with an associate to assess the quality of the drugs.
In another conversation, the warrant officer and the lieutenant discuss money they could earn from a drug trafficking deal. The lawyer of the warrant officer, Ioannis Glykas, stated that his client will provide convincing explanations to the investigating authorities.
