Significant concern is mounting in Patras due to gang activity in junior high and high schools. Parents and educators are expressing fears about the increase in incidents of violence among students.

Since the beginning of the school year, more than 6 serious incidents have been recorded. The attacks include physical altercations, throwing eggs, bottles, oranges, and even improvised fireworks.

Students have staged sit-ins, demanding protection measures and ensuring a safe learning environment. The Educational Community emphasizes the need for prevention, with actions that promote respect and cooperation.

Nikolitsa Louvari, President of the Federation of Parents of Western Greece, expressed her concern about the increase in school bullying. Spyros Psarras, President of A' ELME Achaia, stressed that violence is distorting the character of the school and substantial intervention is required.

There are calls for reinforcement with psychologists and social workers, teacher training, and health education programs. The local community and the State are called upon to support the schools.
