Jet Ski Accident and Arrests in Hersonissos, Crete

A jet ski accident occurred in Hersonissos, Crete, resulting in the injury of a 54-year-old woman and the arrest of two individuals.

According to authorities, on Thursday afternoon, the Port Authority of Hersonissos was informed about a jet ski accident in the Analipsi area of Hersonissos. The jet ski had two foreign passengers, citizens of Belgium and Spain, aged 53 and 54 respectively.

The 54-year-old woman was injured in her right leg and was taken to the General Hospital of Heraklion “Venizeleio”, where she is being treated.

The 53-year-old operator of the jet ski, as well as a 32-year-old Georgian man responsible for renting out watercraft, were arrested. The arrests were made for violations of the Penal Code, as the operator did not have the necessary speedboat operator's license to rent the jet ski.
