Agrinio: Robbery perpetrator surrenders with his priest

A surprising development occurred as the 55-year-old perpetrator of a gas station robbery in Agrinio surrendered. Accompanied by his priest, the perpetrator turned himself in to the police and returned the 695 euros he had stolen.

According to sinidisi.gr, the perpetrator, wearing a helmet and covering his features, had robbed the gas station in Agios Konstantinos on March 25.

Remorse led the 55-year-old to the church, where he confessed. He then went to the police with the priest and handed over the money.

Reports indicate that the perpetrator suffers from mental health issues. He is being held for further handling of the case.

The priest who accompanied him is known in the Agrinio area for his social sensitivities.
