Chios: Nearly 70,000 Acres Burned – Satellite Images of Destruction

A massive fire in northwestern Chios, between August 12 and 15, destroyed 69,089 acres, according to the Rapid Mapping service of the Copernicus program.

The assessment, based on satellite images from August 15, shows the affected areas in yellow.
