Daylight Saving Time 2025: Time Change on October 26

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 04:00 AM, the time changes, and we turn the clocks back one hour, to 03:00 AM. This change is implemented in all countries of the European Union.
The change is part of the common policy for energy saving, although its abolition has been discussed without a final decision.
The Ministry of Transport reminds that the application of daylight saving time ends, according to Directive 2000/84 of the European Parliament and the Council.
The idea of changing the time to save energy was expressed by Benjamin Franklin in 1784. The first implementation was by Germany in 1916 during World War I, due to the high energy needs. England and the United States followed.
The time change will give us an extra hour of sleep, but experts emphasize that the human body needs time to adjust.
