Trump Scraps Obama's Vehicle Emission Standards

Donald Trump has announced the repeal of vehicle emission standards established by Obama. This decision concerns federal greenhouse gas emission standards for vehicles and engines from model years 2012-2027.
According to Trump, abolishing the so-called "endangerment finding" will save taxpayers $1.3 trillion. The "endangerment finding," adopted in 2009, formed the basis for limiting carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants.
Environmental organizations have condemned the decision, arguing that it is dangerous for the climate. Fred Krupp of the Environmental Defense Fund stated that this action will lead to more pollution and higher costs for American families.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that climate change is a "hoax" and has withdrawn the United States from the Paris Agreement.
