Sotira, Famagusta: Disgraceful scenes in Agios Antonios forest

Serious complaints about pollution and abandonment in the Agios Antonios forest in Sotira, Famagusta, have sparked public outrage. Visitors reported that the forest resembled a landfill, full of garbage.
According to testimonies, on December 27, flowerpots, car tires, car mats, bottles, cartridges, gas canisters, building materials, old televisions, and wires burned for copper were found. Citizens, aged 22, expressed their disappointment at the condition of the forest.
They returned the next day to collect garbage, emphasizing the need to protect the environment.
