Turkey Records Record High Temperature: 50.5 Degrees Celsius in Silopi

A new record high temperature has been recorded in Turkey, with 50.5 degrees Celsius recorded in Silopi, in southeastern Turkey.

The Ministry of Environment announced that "according to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the high temperature record was broken with 50.5°C in Silopi on July 25."
