Kashmir Floods: 300 Dead in India and Pakistan

At least 280 people have died and dozens are missing due to devastating floods in Kashmir, affecting India and Pakistan. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue, according to meteorological services.

In Pakistan, a helicopter carrying aid to the Bajaur region crashed due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in the death of all five people on board.

In India, dozens of people are missing in the village of Chositi. Rescuers have already evacuated approximately 1,600 people from the affected areas.

Experts point out that climate change and unplanned development in mountainous regions are exacerbating the impact of extreme weather events.
