African Dust Returns Starting Tomorrow

After a prolonged episode of African dust, the atmosphere in Cyprus began to clear from the west. According to KitasWeather, although there was initially an improvement in air quality in Paphos and Limassol, a new increase in dust concentrations is expected from tomorrow, Thursday, mainly during the evening hours.

While dust concentrations had fallen below the permissible limit in Paphos and Limassol, they remained elevated in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca and Famagusta. Authorities recommend caution for vulnerable population groups.
