UAE: Record-Breaking Temperatures This Summer

The United Arab Emirates is experiencing extreme temperatures this summer, following its hottest spring on record. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures reached record levels in early August.
On August 1st, in the city of Sweihan, the temperature reached 51.8 degrees Celsius, the highest level since 2021. NCM forecasts indicate that the rest of the summer will be hotter than usual, with August temperatures expected to be 0.25-0.5 degrees Celsius above average.
Meteorologists recommend limiting sun exposure, but this is difficult for outdoor workers.
