Mariah Carey to Perform in Amazon Rainforest for Climate Awareness

Mariah Carey is set to perform on a floating stage in the Amazon on September 17 as part of the "Amazônia Live – Today and Always" concert. The event aims to raise awareness about the climate crisis and rainforest conservation efforts.

The concert will take place on the Guamá River in Brazil, against the backdrop of the Amazon sunset. Carey will be joined by artists representing the local culture of the Pará state, including Dona Onete, Joelma, and Gaby Amarantos.

The event is being held two months before the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, with the goal of highlighting the need to protect the region's biodiversity.
