Mariah Carey to Perform in Amazon Rainforest for Climate Change Awareness

Mariah Carey is set to perform on a floating stage in the Amazon Rainforest on September 17th as part of the “Amazônia Live – Today and Always” concert. The event aims to raise awareness for rainforest conservation efforts and address the climate crisis.
The stage will be located on the Guamá River in Brazil and will be inspired by the Victoria Amazonica flower. The concert will also feature artists showcasing the local culture of the Pará state, including Dona Onete, Joelma, and Gaby Amarantos.
The concert takes place two months before the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, with the goal of reinforcing the message of protecting the region's biodiversity and the need to reduce carbon emissions.
