Deadly Monsoons in Pakistan: 200 Dead in 24 Hours

Torrential rains in northern Pakistan have killed at least 194 people in the last 24 hours, according to authorities. The total death toll since the start of the monsoon season in late June has exceeded 500.
At least 180 deaths have been recorded in the mountainous province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Afghanistan, according to the provincial Disaster Management Authority.
In addition, nine people were killed in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, while five lost their lives in the tourist region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
