Mount Etna Erupts: Spectacular Images and Orange Alert

A new eruption has occurred at Mount Etna, causing a lava flow at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters. The Etna Observatory, part of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), confirmed that the lava flow is heading south.
INGV personnel have begun measurements to assess the volcanic activity. According to reports, no significant changes in seismic activity have been observed. Small and frequent earthquakes are detected at an altitude of 2,800 meters, between the Voragine crater and the Nord-Est northeast crater.
Due to the situation, an orange alert has been issued for air traffic in the area. Catania Airport remains open, but authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
