Mount Etna Erupts: Lava Flow and Flight Alert

Mount Etna has erupted, with lava flowing from 3,000 meters. Authorities have issued an orange alert, although no residential areas are threatened. Catania Airport continues to operate normally.
According to the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the lava flow is moving south, and no significant seismic changes have been recorded. There is no emission of volcanic ash.
Meanwhile, a fire is raging on Mount Vesuvius, outside Naples. A member of the Civil Protection was injured during firefighting efforts, but his condition is not serious. A prosecutorial investigation has been launched into the causes of the fire.
