Two Earthquakes in Crete Within Minutes

Two earthquakes struck Crete within minutes of each other on Friday (6/2).
According to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens, the first earthquake measured 3.9 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was located 16 kilometers east, southeast of Ierapetra. The focal depth was estimated at 11.8 kilometers.
The second earthquake, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale, had its epicenter 23 kilometers east, southeast of Chrysi Lassithiou, with a focal depth of 7.2 kilometers.
