Two griffon vultures and a wolf were found dead in the Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli National Park, with strong indications of poisoning. The incident occurred during the griffon vultures' breeding season.

One griffon vulture was found in serious condition and taken to a veterinary clinic, while the second, as well as the wolf, were found dead. The management unit of OFYPEKA was informed by ELAS and launched an investigation in the area with the assistance of EMADD.

Samples have been collected and will be submitted for toxicological analysis. The authorities will investigate the circumstances of the incident. OFYPEKA is implementing actions to prevent the use of poisoned baits, through programs such as "Environment and Climate Change 2021–2027" and LIFE23-NAT-BG-101148254 Rhodope Vulture.
