The remains of British researcher Dennis "Tink" Bell, who disappeared in 1959 in Antarctica, have been found 66 years after his disappearance. The 25-year-old meteorologist fell into a glacier crevasse.

The discovery was made by a Polish team near the Admiralty Bay glacier, on King George Island. The remains were identified through DNA analysis, as announced by the British Antarctic Survey.

David Bell, the researcher's brother, said he was shocked by the discovery, as he had given up the search.

Along with the remains, more than 200 personal items were found, including a watch, a Swedish knife, and radio equipment.
