The list of names for the 2025-2026 storms has been released by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service. Since 2021, the Cyprus Meteorological Service has been cooperating with the corresponding services of Greece and Israel to name severe weather events in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The list for the period October 2025 - September 2026 includes the following names, in alphabetical order: Adel, Byron, Cornaro, David, Elina, Fivos, Gaya, Heron, Ionia, Jonathan, Kassandra, Leonidas, Maya, Nestor, Olimpia, Paz, Riginos, Sivan, Talos, Urania, Vardi, Xenophon, Yuval, Zorbas.

The idea of naming storms began in Europe in 1995, with the aim of creating common rules of understanding for timely information on severe weather events. The cooperation between Cyprus, Greece and Israel includes weekly meetings to exchange information on the evolution of weather systems.
