Reforestation in Agios Therapontas with International Participation

A significant reforestation effort took place in Agios Therapontas, initiated by Green Shield Cyprus and the You Reforest Cyprus program. The aim was to restore the area after the fires.

The action had a multinational character, with the participation of volunteers from Cyprus, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Israel. Despite the international participation, the smaller number of Cypriot volunteers was noted.

The event was attended by representatives of the Agios Therapontas Community Council, the Animal Party Cyprus (APC), the Green Party of Cyprus, and the Minister of Health.

The initiative highlights the need for active citizen participation in addressing climate change and protecting the environment.
