Etna: Impressive Images from New Volcanic Eruption

A new eruption occurred at Mount Etna, causing a lava flow from an altitude of 3,000 meters. The Etna Observatory, part of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), confirmed that the lava flow is heading south.
INGV personnel are conducting measurements to assess the volcanic activity. Seismic activity remains stable, with small earthquakes at a depth of 2,800 meters, between the Voragine crater and the Nord-Est northeast crater.
An orange alert has been issued for air traffic. Catania Airport remains open, with authorities monitoring the situation.
