Balkan Athletics Championships 2025: Karalis Wins Gold in Pole Vault in Volos

Emmanouil Karalis won the gold medal in the pole vault at the Balkan Athletics Championships held in Volos. The Greek champion cleared 5.92m.

Karalis attempted to break the Greek national record of 6.05m and surpass 6.11m, but was unsuccessful. Giannis Rizos came in second with 5.65m.

Karalis initially declared 5.55m, but started at 5.65m, clearing it on his first attempt. He then cleared 5.92m on his third attempt.

Rizos won the silver medal with 5.65m. He attempted 5.72m but was unsuccessful.
