Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski is experiencing vision problems after fracturing his left eye socket. The fracture occurred during a match and forced him to wear a protective mask.

The eye socket is the cavity in the skull that houses the eye. Fractures in its walls can be caused by violent trauma.

In Lewandowski's case, the fracture is located in the nasal wall of the socket. According to experts, symptoms such as bleeding from the nose, air in the tissues around the eye, abnormality in the contour of the socket, and double vision indicate a fracture.

Francisco Javier Hurtado, an ophthalmologist, explained that the mask protects against further impacts that could worsen the fracture and lead to complications.
