Shengelia: Special program due to cardiac arrhythmia ahead of Eurobasket

Problem for Georgia ahead of Eurobasket 2025. Team leader Tornike Shengelia is following a special program due to cardiac arrhythmia.

The Georgian national team arrived in Cyprus for EuroBasket 2025, where Shengelia welcomed his teammates. The player had undergone tests in Barcelona and therefore arrived in Limassol on a different flight.

Coach Aleksandar Džikić has 13 players in the squad, one of whom will be cut for the final twelve.

Greece will face Georgia on August 31st for the third matchday of the Eurobasket 2025 group stage.
