Olympiacos Supports the Metropolis of Piraeus

Olympiacos FC and Vangelis Marinakis have once again supported the Metropolis of Piraeus. A charity concert was held at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, in collaboration with the Municipality of Piraeus.

The concert was dedicated to the memory of Irene Marinaki, mother of Vangelis Marinakis. The director of the Metropolis of Piraeus, Dimitris Alfieris, expressed his wish that God rest her soul.

During the evening, Olympiacos was honored for its 100 years of history. Vasilis Vasiliadis, representing Olympiacos and Mr. Marinakis, presented a check to the Metropolitan of Piraeus, Mr. Serafim, to support the philanthropic work of the Metropolis.

Mr. Serafim referred to the long-standing contribution of Olympiacos to Piraeus. The new Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine of Sinai, His Eminence Archbishop of Sinai, Faran and Raitho, Mr. Symeon, was also honored, and he was offered a monetary check and an honorary plaque.
