Loizides: "Petrides wanted to get rid of me from APOEL"

The new president of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), Haris Loizides, referred to Prodromos Petrides during his speech, in a humorous mood.

He thanked the president of APOEL, Prodromos Petrides, for his proposal in 2005 to appoint him as APOEL's representative to the CFA.

"I thank the president of APOEL, Prodromos Petrides, who in 2005 proposed me as APOEL's representative to the CFA. I think he wanted to get rid of me from APOEL and said, let him go to the CFA so we can have some peace...", Mr. Loizides characteristically stated.
